Overview
The long way round Tanzania's wild south and west
If you have the time for one big Tanzanian safari, this is a strong contender. It links three very different parks by light aircraft: Ruaha first, then remote Katavi far to the west, and finally the rivers and lakes of Nyerere.
Three parks, three characters
Ruaha is vast and varied, with the Great Ruaha River at its heart. Katavi is wild and seldom visited, known for its plains, seasonal waterways and gatherings of hippos and buffalo. Nyerere adds boat safaris and walks to the mix, so the last few days feel quite different from the first.
Arranged from start to finish
You are met in Dar es Salaam and looked after throughout, with guides waiting at each airstrip. Meals, shared game drives, park and concession fees, laundry and transfers are included.
