Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Travel details: destinations, dates, number of travellers, departure point, preferences and anything you tell us in your message.
- Booking details: traveller names and, where a supplier requires it, passport or ID details.
- Special requirements such as dietary, medical or accessibility needs, only when you choose to share them so we can arrange your trip. We treat this as special personal information and use it only with your consent.
- Travel Trade applications: company name, contact person, registration number, country and website.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your first name and email address.
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies are only used with your consent. See our Cookie Policy.
- Booking platforms and partners such as Viator, GetYourGuide and Tripadvisor when you book one of our experiences through them, and travel trade partners who book on your behalf.

- To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes and itineraries.
- To make, manage and confirm bookings with accommodation, transport, tour, cruise, rail and airline suppliers.
- To process payments and keep financial records.
- To send you important information about your trip, including changes, reminders and documents.
- To send newsletters, offers and travel inspiration, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To review and manage Travel Trade partner applications and accounts.
- With your consent, to understand how our website is used and to measure and improve our advertising.
- To protect our business and customers, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.

- Contract: to plan and deliver the travel services you ask for.
- Consent: for marketing emails, non-essential cookies and special personal information. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to run, secure and improve our business in ways you would reasonably expect.
- Legal obligation: for example, keeping tax and accounting records.

Who we share it with
- Travel suppliers who provide the services you book, such as accommodation, transport, guides, cruise and rail operators and airlines.
- Payment providers who process your payments securely.
- Service providers who host and support our website, email and systems, including WordPress hosting, WooCommerce and Mailchimp.
- Analytics and advertising partners such as Google and Meta, only where you have given consent through our cookie settings.
- Authorities or professional advisers where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months, so we can help if you get back in touch.
- Booking and financial records: at least five years from the date of the relevant tax return, as required by South African tax law.
- Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
- Travel Trade accounts: for as long as the account is active, and a reasonable period afterwards.

Your rights
- To know what personal information we hold about you and to receive a copy.
- To have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
- To have your information deleted.
- To object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- To receive your information in a portable format.
- To withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that has already taken place.
- To opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information, and you can switch off advertising cookies at any time in our cookie settings.
- Not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
- To lodge a complaint with a regulator: in South Africa, the Information Regulator; in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority or the Information Commissioner's Office.

Making a privacy request
